Jessica White

MA Student, Intern Therapist

Jessica is an intern therapist with a passion for fostering connections with children and adolescents. She has fifteen years of experience working in educational settings as a school psychologist. Jessica identifies developing strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and schools as the cornerstone of effective therapeutic work with children and adolescents and firmly believes that it “takes a village” to help our young people flourish. Using a variety of treatment approaches, Jessica strives to assist children and adolescents on their path to better holistic wellness.

Focuses include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques such as identifying and replacing negative thoughts, Solution Focused Strategies aimed at recognizing and utilizing strengths, and incorporating Mindfulness strategies to improve self-awareness and decrease reactivity.

Creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empowerment, and unconditional positive regard is viewed as vital to achieving positive outcomes. Jessica’s overarching goal as a student therapist is to assist children and adolescents in better understanding their social and emotional needs and learning strategies to self-advocate and cope with life’s challenges. Jessica applies many of these same techniques in her work with adults. She is particularly interested in helping adult clients navigate life transitions and work towards their individual visions of optimal wellness.
