LICSW, MS

Is the pain of staying the same greater than the fear of change? Depression, anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, low self-esteem, bereavement… Recent, life long, got better and is now worse… Feeling bad about yourself, not good enough no matter what, the pain and suffering of trauma never far from your mind or your senses… There is Hope! Here at Compass of Hope, it would be my privilege as a therapist to co-create an emotionally secure space where you can begin the journey of growth and change, starting wherever you are and moving toward where you want to be. I believe therapy is a respectful, collaborative and strength focused effort encouraging and supporting clients to do the hard work toward achieving their goals and overall improved well-being. I have two master’s degrees, one in clinical social work and the other in mental health counseling with a specialization in family therapy. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based brief therapies including EMDR, CBT and Solution Focused therapy. My primary approach is EMDR, a therapy modality that treats the root causes of symptoms and provides relief from long held negative self-beliefs while also incorporating talk therapy
